“Make Video” Digital Storytelling workshops

There are two ready-made workshops available, that can be customised to suit any requirements. They are for beginner and intermediate levels of skill and can be delivered in sessions of varying length. Call to discuss your requirements. See below for more details.

Workshop 1: My Story

This workshop is for beginners and consists of 8 hours of instruction and discussion, divided into 4 x 2hr sessions (or into whichever way suits the group). Participants take home a pocket camcorder and tripod and make their own recordings which they bring back for discussion.

Workshop 2: Citizen Journalism

This is a workshop for intermediates. It is more challenging in its focus on journalistic principles and uses more advanced equipment. Content amounts to 16 hours of work including exploration of editorial, ethical and legal issues. An affordable kit of camcorder, microphone, headphones and tripod is used here.
